Thermally conductive silicone grease needs to be applied evenly. If it is more inconvenient to apply in a large area, it is difficult to apply uniformly, the labor cost is high, and it is easy to dirty surrounding devices and cause short circuits.
2. Anti-aging performance: The thermal pad is in a solid form. Compared with thermal paste, silicone oil is hard to volatilize and has good aging resistance. Thermal paste is used in a paste-like long-term high-temperature state, and free substances are precipitated in the thermal paste, which pollutes the lens of the lamp, affects the light transmittance, and has poor aging resistance.
Form: SheenThermal paste is gel-like, and soft Sheen thermal pad is sheet.
Thickness: As a gap-filling thermally conductive material, thermal paste is limited. The thickness of soft thermally conductive silicone pads ranges from 0.25-10mm, and has a wide range of applications.
3. Anti-shock: Sheen Thermal pad is used for in-line LEDs. If there are pins, use glass fiber cloth series products in thermal pad. The material is soft and compressible. It is an ideal gap filling material. Plays an anti-seismic effect. The thermal grease cannot meet this requirement.
Reinstallation: The thermally conductive silicone sheet is slightly sticky and can be reused for easy reinstallation. The thermally conductive silicone grease is highly viscous, which is not convenient for disassembly and repair.
Summary:
Thermal conductivity: The thermal conductivity of Sheen soft thermal pads and Sheen thermal paste is 1.0-10.0w / m.k and 1.0-4.5w / m.k, respectively. Thermal grease with the same thermal conductivity is better than thermal pads because the thermal resistance of thermal paste is small. Therefore, in order to achieve the same thermal conductivity, the thermal conductivity of the thermal pad must be higher than the thermal paste.
